From the majesty of the dune forest of Marquenterre and the Bay of Somme to the wild intimacy of the Bay of Authie, through the Lower Fields of Marquenterre and their secret marshes, you will discover all the facets of a beautiful country: the Henson horses and their dream riding!

Our three “Henson Equestrian Centers” of Saint-Quentin-en-Tourmont (“Henson Marquenterre”), Fort-Mahon-Plage (“L’Etrier”) and Saint-Jean-les-Rue (“Haras Henson”) , distant from a dozen kilometers from each other and perfectly connected by equestrian paths and beaches as far as the eye can see, await you for an unforgettable 2-day hike, accompanied by a seasoned equestrian guide, who will know you to share the exceptional beauty of our sites and the passion for outdoor riding with our wonderful Henson horses.

These, in the very heart of the Bay of Somme – their cradle breed- will amaze you with their adaptability to outdoor riding. You will enjoy the pleasure of crossing landscapes of beauty, with a companion to the foot sure, who will respond with respect, docility and energy to your impulses.

An exciting 2-day itinerary …

1st day :

From the “Henson Marquenterre Equestrian Center”, our parent company, where are collected more than 300 horses Henson mountable and breeding. The first morning will take you to the Bay of Authie and its sea dikes, built by hand, in past centuries. Then, after your first picnic at the Equestrian Center “L’Etrier”, you will go down “tout schuss”, the afternoon, beaches to infinity, to the Domain of the Marquenterre and its dune forest. thousand hectares.

This is where you will enjoy your evening meal, in a friendly atmosphere, where we will tell you the wonderful adventure of Henson horses and their creation and that you will spend your night.

2nd day :

Then, the next morning, you will go to the Farm of Saint-Jean to participate in an exciting initiation session of cattle sorting (“cutting”, say the cowboys …) with our sheep Shetland and our cows and Highland bulls.
You will taste a snack prepared especially for you with our excellent local products. Then we will return, through low-fields and marshes, to the Bay of Somme, the point of return of our journey.

Routing the entire route of your effects and your sleeping gear, as well as your picnic on the first day,
